Ethical Policy

Ethical Policy Overview

ScienceIngress is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct in publishing across all our journals. We align our practices with the guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and consistently implement its Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines. Authors, editors, and reviewers associated with our journals are expected to be well-versed in and uphold the best practices in publication ethics. Authors are required to demonstrate a thorough understanding of and adhere to the strictest standards of ethical behavior in publishing, particularly concerning authorship, plagiarism, data integrity, conflicts of interest, and compliance with research ethics policies.

Reviewers and editors are entrusted with handling manuscripts impartially and confidentially, with a mandate to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may arise.

Any allegations of research or publication misconduct will be meticulously investigated, with the authority to engage with authors' universities, funders, or regulatory bodies as necessary.

In cases where suspicions or accusations of misconduct arise, we will follow the established COPE flowcharts and may seek guidance from the COPE forum. Should irrefutable evidence of misconduct be uncovered, prompt corrections or retractions will be made to uphold the integrity of the scientific record.
Should any concerns regarding potential misconduct arise, we encourage individuals to reach out to the journal directly via email. It is important to ensure that your correspondence is directed to the Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor of the journal, depending on the nature of the concerns. While we value community feedback, it is essential that concerns are communicated directly to the journal rather than solely relying on external platforms such as blogs or social media.

Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

ScienceIngress is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in all our journals to deliver top-quality academic publications to our readers. We adhere to the following principles to ensure ethical publishing practices:

The journal editor is responsible for the selection of papers for publication, guided by the editorial board's policies and legal obligations related to defamation, copyright, and plagiarism. Editors are entrusted with maintaining the confidentiality of submitted works and are required to obtain the author's consent before repurposing any unpublished material.

Reviewers play a crucial role in assessing the suitability of submitted works for publication through a Double Blind Review process. All manuscripts are treated as confidential material and must not be shared without authorization from the editor. Reviewers are expected to recuse themselves if conflicts of interest are present.

Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is deemed unethical, as is the failure to acknowledge the influence of others' work. Authors must cite relevant publications that have contributed significantly to their own research.
